New Era

So, all of that equipement is gone now. It was all sold and replaced with this:

The Fractal Axe Fx III acts as:

  • Amp – over 200 different amps types, including bass amps
  • Effects – every effect sound I was getting with the pedals, I can get with the Axe Fx
  • DI – I no longer go through the Steinberg for recording guitar and bass; I can record directly in Protools with the Axe Fx…in stereo. I still use the Steinberg for vocal recording, but that is also routed through the Axe Fx. Recording sound quality is much better!

Software

  • Guitar Pro 7 – used for writing songs
  • Pro Tools 12 – with the following plugins
    • fabfilter bundle – Pro-Q, Pro-MB, Pro-C, Pro-R, Timeless
    • Ozone – for mastering
    • Superior Drummer 3
