A large class of succulent plants that includes trees, shrubs and perennials, Aloes come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They bloom at different times of the year with most flowering from mid winter-spring. All require little to low water and should be grown in well drained soils. Grow in full sun to light shade especially in hot valley areas where foliage might burn in full sun. Use tree-like varieties as large specimens in the landscape or in pots. Smaller varieties combine nicely with other succulents in containers and can also be used with other low water plants in the garden. Some varieties can be affected by frost and should be protected where temperatures drop below 25-30 degrees. Listed below are just a few of our most popular varieties of Aloe.
