Tips for sowing wildflower seed:

  1. Sow seeds in fall through early spring in well-drained, preferably weed-free soils. Choose an area that receives 6-8 hours of sun daily.
  2. Seeds require ample moisture to germinate. In areas that do not receive regular rainfall, water lightly and frequently to keep soil moist. As plants grow gradually reduce water. Established plants require water only when showing signs of stress.
  3. Apply an all purpose fertilizer through the growing season for optimum results.
  4. If seed does not germinate, seed may have washed away in heavy rain or seed was buried too deeply.
